I painted this yesterday after looking at Mary Feddens's work which I love and whilst I didn't achieve quite what I'd hoped for, I thought I might as well play with it further. The painting was very static and I was trying to see how I could get depth and movement into it, there was a very messy attempt to print onto acetate and then this. I know there's not much but it gives a feel of calm which is what I associate with this room and the view - and this cat can be found here for about 23 out of 24 hours ! It captures more of a feeling of my home than just a static image.
I like the process and it captures both an image and feeling of my home however it needs a lot more consideration if it is to be finished piece and I think my time is probably better spent concentrating on the work I have been doing previously.
It's a process I'd look at for other images where I could create a moving narrative .
